The crude oil average price options contract reached 4,950 contracts yesterday, surpassing the previous record of 3,744 contracts traded on January 3.
Exchange President James E. Newsome said, "This record is another indication of the continued expansion and strength of our contracts. We are proud that our members and customers views us as the source for price discovery and risk management for the energy marketplace."
