New York Mercantile Exchange Announces Clearing Fees For Electricity Futures Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced clearing fees for financially settled electricity futures cleared on NYMEX ClearPortsm. The fees will take effect on the trade date of January 2, 2006, as the current fee waiver expires at the end of 2005. The new fees.

The fees for the PJM financailly settled futures, AEP–Dayton Hub electricity futures, Northern Illinois Hub electricity futures, ISO-New England electricity futures, and Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator (MISO) futures contracts will be $4.00 for monthly and off-peak contracts, $1.00 for weekly contracts, and $0.20 for daily contracts.

All New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) monthly and off-peak futures contracts fees will be $2.00.

Monthly and off-peak clearing fees for Exchange electricity contracts that are financially settled based on prices established in the western United States will be $4.80.
