The auspicious year of the ram is approaching with the year of the horse galloping away. At the threshold of the new year, on behalf of Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), I would like to extend cordial greetings and best wishes to the member units, investors, and other market participants. In 2014, under the guidance of the 3rd Plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee and the "Some Opinions of the State Council on Further Propelling Sound Growth of the Capital Market", in accordance with the work deployment set early in the year, DCE successfully advanced all work items by maintaining stability, making innovation, and promoting development. In the year, the futures market in Dalian has seen sound operation and improved structures of both products and investors. The market functions have been brought into further play, the innovative development has been pushed to a new level, and the ability to serve the industries and the real economy has been further enhanced.
The year of 2015 is crucial for deepening the reform in an all-round way. In the new situation of the "New Normal" of economic development and the accelerated reform and innovation in the futures market and the entire capital market, on the basis of serving the industries and the real economy, DCE will hold on to the mainline of expanding market innovation and improving the mechanisms, ensure effective prevention and control of risks and safe market operation, meet the real demands of the industrial entities and the real economy, vigorously promote innovation in options instrument and futures products, cater to the demand for perfecting the market system and enhancing the capability of market services, advance the development of the OTC market, adapt to the trend of diversified and professionalized market participants, strengthen the cultivation of institutional investors and service for industrial clients, adapt to the trends of economic globalization and opening up of the domestic capital market, and actively push forward the market internationalization.
