New Trading Records On FORTS, The RTS Stock Exchange Derivatives Segment

At the end of July 6 th , 2005, trading session, record statistics was reached on FORTS (Futures and Options on RTS), the derivatives segment of the RTS Stock Exchange.

Combined open interest in futures and options on Jun 6 th , 2005, reached 16.9 billion rubles. The previous maximum of 15,7 billion rubles reached on July 3 rd , 2005, is exceeded by 7.6%.

Record statistics was registered on July 6 th , 2005, on the options market. 742 trades were executed (previous trading activity record was reached on December 9th, 2004 and equaled 723 transactions). Total trading volume on the options segment reached 74,3 thousand contracts of 732 million rubles.
