Date 28/12/2005

As previously announced, Oslo Børs will introduce extended trading hours for trading in shares, primary capital certificates and derivative contracts with effect from Monday 2 January 2006. Trading hours for trading in interest-bearing instruments will remain unchanged.

With effect from 2 January, the Oslo Børs trading hours will be:

Shares and primary capital certificates: 09:00am – 4:30pm
Derivatives: 09:00am – 4:20pm
Interest-bearing instruments: 09:00am – 4:00pm (unchanged)

In connection with the extended trading hours, the pre-trade period for shares and primary capital certificates will start at 08:15am with effect from 2 January, and the opening auction, continuous trading and closing auction will be carried out between 09:00am - 4:30pm. The fixed-income market will have the same pre-trade period (no change in times).

The new trading hours will have practical consequences in areas such as the duty disclosure for companies, notifications to the market by primary insiders, investors’ duty to flag significant changes in shareholdings etc., all of which will be similarly extended. As a result of the new trading hours, the Oslo Børs information system will be open from 07:30am - 4:30pm.
