New Shanghai Stock Exchange Trading System Undergoes Extensive System Testing

According to a recent notice issued by the Shanghai Stock Exchange to the member units, fund management companies, custodian banks and other relevant institutions, the New Generation Trading System undertook extensive system testing on January 13, 2007. It is learnt that the market deployment for the System has so far made remarkable progress. The testing on January 13 covered the secondary market's trading business, non-trading services, check of market information and announcements, input of block trading orders, reception of statement files and stress testing.
