New Preliminary OMXCB Portfolio Selected

The coming OMX Copenhagen Benchmark (OMXCB) portfolio will hold 66 shares against 65 today. Four new shares have qualified for the new OMXCB portfolio: DLH B, Gyldendal B, Live Networks Holding and Keops. Three shares will exit the index: Alm. Brand Pantebreve B, Gudme Raaschou Vision and Monberg & Thorsen B.

The portfolio is preliminary, and the Exchange may change the portfolio until five trading days prior to the effective date, i.e. until 23 December 2005. The definitive portfolio enters into force on 1 January 2006.

The OMXCB Benchmark index is a representative selection of all shares listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. By comparing the performance of a given share portfolio with the performance of the OMXCB index, the investor can measure the performance of a portfolio compared to the Copenhagen Stock Exchange in general. The OMXCB portfolio is constructed to cover at least 85 per cent of the free-float adjusted market cap of each industry group.

The Copenhagen Stock Exchange calculates both price and yield indices on the OMXCB portfolio. Capped versions, where the weights of the constituent companies are limited, are also calculated. OMXCB is reviewed biannually on 1 January and 1 July. The base value of the OMXCB Index is 100 and the base date 31 December, 1995.
