New Options To ASAS Rights British Steel/Koninklij

Provided that the bid for depositary receipts for Koninklijke Hoogovens N.V. shares becomes unconditional, as from Wednesday 6 October 1999 ASAS rights to British Steel/ Koninklijke Hoogovens shares will be listed on Amsterdam Exchanges' stock market. These are rights issued by Amsterdam Exchanges for shares in BSKH plc. Shareholders of Koninklijke Hoogovens N.V. who wish to trade on Amsterdam Exchanges' stock market must state specifically that they wish to receive ASAS rights BSKH when they register their shares as assenting. Options on these ASAS rights will be listed on Amsterdam Exchanges' options market on Wednesday 6 October 1999. Positions in the old HO option class will be converted into a single position in the HOO option (relating to 918 ASAS rights BSKH) and two positions in the BSKH option class (relating to 1,000 ASAS rights BSKH). This will be the first time that options with a contract size of 1,000 are traded in Amsterdam.
