New Open Interest Record For NYBOT'S Cocoa Options Contract

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®)announced today an all-time Open Interest record for its Cocoa Options market of 92,803 contracts set on Tuesday, October 1, 2002. This record replaces the previous Options Open Interest record of 91,679 contracts set on February 3, 2000.

Cocoa futures and options contracts are traded on NYBOT's Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange, Inc. from 8:00 am until 11:50 am (NY Time). The Cocoa Futures contract is 10 metric tons (22,046 pounds) of exchange-certified cocoa.
