New Entries In Euronext 100 And Next 150 Indices

Euronext Indices B.V. yesterday announced the following changes in the Euronext 100 Index and the Next 150 Index: Under the condition that the General Assembly of Canal+ shareholders accepts the take-over offer from the French company Vivendi on December 8 2000, the French company Canal + will be deleted from the Euronext 100 index. The deletion will take effect on Monday 11 December 2000, in accordance with rule 6.3.3 of the index ground rules.

The highest-ranking constituent of the Next 150 index by market capitalisation as at the close of business 6 December 2000, replaces Canal + in the Euronext 100 index. Following ranking analysis, the French company Vinci will enter the Euronext 100 index effective Monday 11 December 2000.

As a result of the replacement of Canal + in the Euronext 100 index by Vinci the highest ranking non-constituent by market capitalisation as at the close of business 6 December 2000, replaces Vinci in the Next 150 Index. Following ranking analysis, the French company Eurofins Scientific will enter the Next 150 Index effective Monday 11 December 2000.

The shareholders of World Online accepted the takeover bid of Tiscali. World Online will be deleted from the Euronext 100 index with effect from Monday 11 December 2000, in accordance with rule 6.3.3 of the index ground rules.

The second highest-ranking constituent of the Next 150 index by market capitalisation as at the close of business 6 December 2000, replaces World Online in the Euronext 100 index. Following ranking analysis, the Dutch company ASR Verzekeringsgroep will enter the Euronext 100 index effective Monday 11 December 2000.

As a result of the replacement of World Online in the Euronext 100 index by ASR Verzekeringsgroep, the highest ranking non-constituent by market capitalisation as at the close of business 6 December 2000, replaces ASR Verzekeringsgroep in the Next 150 Index. Following ranking analysis, the Dutch company Grolsch will enter the Next 150 Index effective Monday 11 December 2000.
