Françoise Buisson has been appointed Director of the European and International Affairs Division.

Françoise BUISSON, began her career in 1986 at the National Board of Stockbrokers – which became the Paris stock exchange in January 1988 – where she was in charge of professional regulation. In 1989, she joined the trade association representing market professionals – now the French Association of Financial Markets/AMAFI – where she was Director with responsibility for international affairs as well as issues relating to compliance by investment service providers. She was recruited by the Commission des Opérations de Bourse (COB), the AMF’s predecessor, in 2001 to take part in the MiFID negotiations. She holds a BA honours degree in European Business Administration (Middlesex University/ Rheims Management School). She was appointed Deputy Head of International Affairs at the AMF in November 2002.

Secretariat for the Board and the Enforcement Committee

Marc-Pierre Janicot has been appointed Director of the Board and Enforcement Committee Secretariat Division with effect from 14 November 2011.

Marc-Pierre Janicot holds a DEA advanced diploma in Corporate Law, degrees from the Institut d’études judiciaires (Institute for Judicial Studies/IEJ) and the Institut de droit des affaires (Institute for Corporate Law/IDA) at the University of Paris II Assas and the Certificat d’aptitude à la profession d’avocat (bar exam/CAPA). He began his career at Bâtonnier Baudelot in 1979. In 1983 he moved to the Michelin group, where he worked as a legal specialist in the group’s legal division. In 1985, he joined the Association française des sociétés financières (French Federation of Financial Companies/ASF), where he held positions including Head of Financial and Investment Services; at the same time, he was a member of Sicovam’s consultative committee from 1987 to 2001 and Secretary-General of Europafactoring, the European federation of factoring companies, from 1992 to 1994. In 2001, he joined the Commission des opérations de Bourse (the French stock exchange commission) as legal advisor to the Service Providers and Investment Products Department. In 2004, he joined the department responsible for the AMF’s Board and Enforcement Committee, and was appointed Deputy Head of the department on 1 January 2006.
