Julien RUDERMAN has been appointed Deputy Head of Division of the European and International Affairs Division, part of the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate, on the 3rd of May 2012.
Julien RUDERMAN, 43, began his career in 1991 at the Paris office of law firm Coopers & Lybrand Juridique & Fiscal (which became Landwell & Associés), within the financial services group, where he practiced international tax and insurance law in relation to M&A transactions. In 1997, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in London as Senior Manager, advising on cross-border investments between the United Kingdom and France. In 1999, Julien joined international law firm Clifford Chance in Paris where he focused on the structuring of M&A, asset finance and structured finance transactions. He was appointed partner of Clifford Chance in 2004 and set up and headed the Funds Formation practice, advising fund managers, sponsors and institutional investors on the structuring and fundraising of investment funds. Julien holds a Masters in business administration from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) and a post-graduate degree in International Taxation (University of Paris XI).
