The overall structure has been changed to five main types: Government Loans, International Organisations, Mortgage Credit and Special Institutions, Asset Backed Securities and Corporate Bonds. Moreover, the currency in which the bond is issued will be stated together with an indication of whether the bond is callable. It will also be easier to see whether the loan is a bullet loan, annuity loan, serial loan or index-linked loan.
CFO Jan Ovesen said: "With this new way of presenting the listed bonds we give both the professional and the private investors a better overview of the many bonds listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. We constantly endeavour to develop and adjust the Danish marketplace to future demands, and this new way of presenting the bonds is one of the results of this work".
Homeowners, who are considering remortgaging or obtaining supplementary loans, will find it easier to track the prices of the open bond series that are of special interest to them. In future, the mortgage bonds will be classified in open and closed series, respectively. The mortgage banks can offer loans in open bond series at a price below 100 exclusively.
