Today’s listing of Neuf Cegetel on the Eurolist compartment of Euronext Paris was a major success.
Neuf Cegetel placed more than 37 million shares for a total of EUR 817.5 million, making it the third largest new listing on Euronext Paris this year. The underwritten global offer, comprising the placement for institutional investors and for individual investors, was oversubscribed by around 15 times .
At the opening price of EUR 23.98, 8.6% above the reference price, the company’s market capitalization totals EUR 4.8 billion.
Neuf Cegetel is the 101st company to list on Euronext in 2006. Since January, a total of EUR 13.6 billion has been raised on Euronext markets through new listings, increasing total market capitalization by EUR 60 billion.
Neuf Cegetel is the leading alternative operator of landline-based telecommunications service in France.
