The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) held their 10th annual supervisory roundtable in Singapore on 29 June 2026. The roundtable, co-chaired by MAS Deputy Managing Director (Financial Supervision) Ms Ho Hern Shin and CSRC Vice Chairman Mr Liu Haoling, marked a decade of collaboration between MAS and CSRC to strengthen cooperation between our respective capital markets, as well as enhanced supervisory cooperation. The meeting brought together regulators and industry participants to discuss key market and regulatory developments.
2 MAS and CSRC exchanged views on developments in their respective equity markets, including Singapore’s Equity Market Development Programme (EQDP), and China’s STAR Market and ChiNext reforms. Discussions additionally covered the importance of operational resilience of financial infrastructure amid rapid technological development, trends in market misconduct, the application of technology in law enforcement, and regulatory approaches to digital assets.
3 The roundtable also discussed regulatory developments in the securities and futures industry. Industry participants shared their perspectives on the progress on cross-border capital markets initiatives such as the ETF product link and index collaboration.
4 MAS and CSRC inked an agreement to facilitate staff exchanges, with the goal of promoting stronger institutional relationships and strengthening mutual understanding.
5 Ms Ho said, “The 10th Supervisory Roundtable marks a significant milestone in the longstanding partnership between MAS and CSRC. I look forward to further strengthening regulatory cooperation and advancing capital market connectivity to support the continued development of markets in Singapore and China.”
