Mr. Watkins holds a J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law and an A.B. from Princeton University. He began his career in 1980 in Washington, DC as a staff lawyer at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Market Regulation, and later at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Division of Trading and Markets.
Prior to joining NSX, Mr. Watkins served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Wachovia Corporation. His career history also includes positions as Vice President and Senior Counsel at Fleet Financial Group, Inc., and as a corporate attorney for the New England law firm, Day, Berry & Howard, LLP.
