National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited To launch Aluminum, Nickel And Zinc Futures Contracts

National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), India’s premium commodity exchange, is to launch futures contracts on nickel cathode, aluminum ingots and zinc ingots on Monday, May 22nd 2006.

Nickel cathode contracts will be settled on the basis of international prices in rupee denomination. Contract size, called delivery unit, is set at 250 Kgs. The exchange has marked Bhiwandi as base centre & Delhi as the additional delivery center.

Aluminum ingot contracts will be settled on the basis of international prices in rupee denomination. Contract size, is of two metric tonnes only keeping in view Indian consumers and recent high prices. Bhiwandi and Delhi are the delivery centers.

Zinc ingot contracts will be settled on the basis of international prices in rupee denomination. Contract size, called delivery unit, is set at two metric tonnes. Bhiwandi would be the basis delivery center and Delhi would be the additional delivery center.
