NASDAQ To Present At The China International Fair For Investment & Trade In Xiamen

The NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc. (“NASDAQ®”) will present at the 2004 Capital Forum, one of the highlights of the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT). This year's Forum, to be held on September 7, entitled “Summit of Securities Markets and SMEs Financing Innovation,” features securities experts and speakers from stock exchanges in China and abroad.

Stuart Patterson, NASDAQ's Senior Managing Director for Asia Pacific, will make a keynote speech at the Forum. Mr. Patterson's visit highlights NASDAQ's long-term commitment to the Chinese market and the importance China plays in NASDAQ's Asia strategy.

During their China visit, NASDAQ representatives will also be attending the World Economic Forum's China Business Summit in Beijing on September 12 and 13.
