Nasdaq Records Another One-Day Point Gain Record - It Is The Composite's Second Consecutive Record

The Nasdaq Composite Index® achieved its largest one-day point increase ever, with preliminary statistics showing a rise of 254.41 points to close at 3793.57. That translates into a 7.2 percent increase, the Composite's second largest percent increase. The previous point gain record was established only one day before, when the Composite Index climbed 217.87 points to finish at 3539.16.

Nasdaq also experienced its sixth heaviest trading session, with preliminary figures showing volume exceeded 2.147 billion shares.
