NASDAQ OMX Nordic, part of The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:NDAQ) announced today the results of the semi-annual review of the OMX Iceland 6 Index, (NASDAQ OMX Iceland: OMXI6ISK), which will become effective with the market open on January 4, 2009.
One change will be made to the portfolio of the OMXI6 Index where Atlantic Airways P/F is added as a new constituent, while Icelandair Group hf. will be removed from the portfolio.
The OMX Iceland 6 Index is the NASDAQ OMX Iceland's leading index. The index consists of the 6 most actively traded shares on NASDAQ OMX Iceland. The index is suitable as underlying for structured products and as a benchmark index for funds. The OMX Iceland 6 Index is a free float market capitalized weighted price index whose composition is revised twice a year.
The OMX Iceland 6 Index constituents after review effective January 4, 2010 are:
- Atlantic Petroleum P/F
- Bakkavör Group hf.
- Føroya Banki P/F
- Marel Food Systems hf.
- P/F Atlantic Airways
- Össur hf.
