NASDAQ OMX: Annual Changes To The PHLX Semiconductor Sector Index

The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ), today announced today the results of the annual re-ranking of the PHLX Semiconductor Sector Index (Nasdaq:SOX), which will become effective prior to market open on Monday, September 23, 2013.

The following ten securities will be added to the Index: Analog Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADI), ASML Holding N.V. (Nasdaq:ASML), Atmel Corporation (Nasdaq:ATML), Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. (NYSE:FSL), LSI Corporation (Nasdaq:LSI), Microchip Technology Incorporated (Nasdaq:MCHP), Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. (Nasdaq:MXIM), ON Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq:ONNN), QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq:QCOM) and Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:SWKS).

The PHLX Semiconductor Sector Index is designed to track the performance of a set of companies engaged in the design, distribution, manufacture, and sale of semiconductors. As a result of the re-ranking, the following ten securities will be removed from the index: Cirrus Logic, Inc. (Nasdaq:CRUS), Hittite Microwave Corporation (Nasdaq:HITT), InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq:IDCC), MKS Instruments, Inc. (Nasdaq:MKSI), Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (Nasdaq:MLNX), Power Integrations, Inc. (Nasdaq:POWI), Rubicon Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:RBCN), STMicroelectronics N.V. (NYSE:STM), SunEdison, Inc. (NYSE:SUNE) and Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq:VECO).
