Nasdaq Liffe Markets April 2003 Volume

Nasdaq Liffe Markets, LLC (NQLX) announced yesterday that 51,098 contracts were traded in April on NQLX. Average daily volume in April was 2,433 contracts.

The top four security futures contracts by volume in April were:

Each contract represents 100 shares of the underlying stock. NQLX has a total of 87 security futures products, including futures on the NASDAQ-100 Index Tracking Stock (QQQ) and a suite of Russell iShares. NQLX will be adding four new security futures on May 2, 2003, bringing the total number of products to 91.

Open interest was at 37,139 contracts on April 30, 2003.

Contract volume on the iShares Russell 2000 (IWM) increased 19% over March volume totals. The most active day was April 16th when 9,270 contracts traded.
