Nasdaq Corporate Client Group Names New Regional Vice President Of Central Region

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (NASDAQ®) today announced the appointment of Demetrios N. Skalkotos as Regional Vice President of the Central Region. Mr. Skalkotos, 40, will be based in NASDAQ's Chicago office and will report to Bruce Aust, Executive Vice President of the Corporate Client Group. The appointment of Mr. Skalkotos marks NASDAQ's continued expansion of its sales force.

NASDAQ currently has approximately 870 listed companies within the Central Region among all sectors including consumer, financial, healthcare, information technology, industrials, and utilities. NASDAQ's Central Region includes the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Prior to joining NASDAQ, Mr. Skalkotos was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Bear Wagner Specialists, where he led a team that was responsible for all NASDAQ switches within the Western Region of the United States. In this role, he advised management on listing matters, capital management, investor relations, securities regulations, corporate governance and securities analyst relations.

Before joining Bear Wagner Specialists, Mr. Skalkotos served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for eVault, a software technology company. Prior to eVault, he served as Managing Director of Global Sales for The NASDAQ Stock Market, where he oversaw a sales team focused on the Central and South Central Regions. He also held several sales positions at AT&T in Indianapolis and Chicago.

Mr. Skalkotos holds an undergraduate and graduate degree from Ball State University. He graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management Information Systems, and in 1987, earned a Masters of Science from the Center of Information and Communication Sciences.
