Nasdaq Composite Index Sets New Record High For Second Trading Day In A Row - Fourth Highest Volume Day Also Established

The Nasdaq Composite® Index closed today in record territory with preliminary figures showing the Composite at 4617.65, up 67.32 points for the day and 13.48 percent for the year.
Today's record marks the second consecutive day the Composite has closed at a record high, and the eleventh record close of the year. Yesterday's record Composite close was 4550.33.
The Nasdaq Stock Market® also experienced its fourth heaviest trading session ever, with preliminary figures showing more than 1.943 billion shares changing hands.
