Nasdaq Appoints Anna Ewing As Senior Vice President Of Systems Engineering

The Nasdaq Stock Market® today announced the appointment of Anna Ewing as Senior Vice President of Systems Engineering, effective October 16, 2000.

Ewing will be responsible for all applications development and systems engineering for all Nasdaq® domestic systems, including next generation quote management systems and Web applications, and will be based in Trumbull, Connecticut. Ewing will report to Steven J. Randich, the newly appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc.

"Anna is a proven technology innovator, leader, and manager with a track record of achieving on-time high quality delivery of client-focused technology applications and systems," said Gregor Bailar, EVP for Technology and Operations and Chief Information Officer, The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc.

Ewing has 17 years extensive management experience in the delivery of client-focused technologies. She joins Nasdaq from CIBC World Markets in New York, where she was Managing Director, Electronic Commerce. In that role, she was responsible for applications development and e-commerce initiatives within CIBC World Markets, the investment banking arm for CIBC. She also created and managed the CIBC World Markets Global Y2K Program office. Prior to that, Ewing served as Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where she held various positions with the Corporate and Institutional Client Group Technology Division.
