Nasdaq Announces Technical Problems Affected Trade Reporting And Quotation Systems

The Nasdaq Stock MarketĀ® today announced that, due to technical problems, the operation of its trade reporting and quotation systems was disrupted. The systems ceased operation at 15:40 p.m. Eastern Time and resumed operation at 15:57 p.m. Eastern Time.
The systems are functioning properly during the extended hours trading session, which lasts from 4 p.m. through 6:30 p.m.
The Nasdaq Stock Market lists nearly 5,000 companies, has the largest dollar volume of trades of any financial market, and trades more shares per day than any other U.S. market.
