NASDAQ Announces Second Quarter 2007 New Listings Statistics - Strong IPO Pace Continues

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced its new listing statistics for the second quarter of 2007.

NASDAQ continued to build on its strong first-quarter performance in the second quarter. The total number of initial public offerings (IPOs) for the quarter, 42, equaled the first-quarter mark and exceeded the 37 IPOs NASDAQ captured in the second quarter of 2006. Several of the largest IPOs in the U.S. in the second quarter, as measured by proceeds raised, listed on NASDAQ. They were led by Interactive Brokers Group, which raised more than $1.2 billion.

NASDAQ continued to capture more new listings than any other U.S. exchange, as measured by both the total number of issues and proceeds raised. During the second quarter, NASDAQ captured 71 new listings, comprised of the following categories:

For the quarter, NASDAQ attracted 61.0% of the 38 IPO issues eligible for listing on NASDAQ Global Select Market(r) -- which has the highest listing standards in the world -- the NASDAQ Global Market(r), or any listing market of the NYSE Group. In addition, NASDAQ captured a 33.0% market share of the proceeds of these 38 IPO issues.

Notable listings in the second quarter included the IPOs of Interactive Brokers Group (Nasdaq:IBKR), TFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:TFSL) and Clean Energy Fuels (Nasdaq:CLNE) and the switches from the American Stock Exchange of National Beverage Corp. (Nasdaq:FIZZ) and Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq:TMRK). NASDAQ also saw several notable technology listings, including the IPOs of Limelight Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:LLNW) and Infinera Corporation (Nasdaq:INFN).

NASDAQ saw nine non-U.S. new listings in the second quarter, including the IPOs of Chinese media company Spreadtrum Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:SPRD) and Italian pharmaceutical company Eurand, N.V. (Nasdaq:EURX).
