Nasdaq Announces Mid-Month Open Short Interest Positions In Nasdaq Stocks As Of Settlement Date January 15, 2019

At the end of the settlement date of January 15, 2019, short interest in 2,365 Nasdaq Global MarketSMsecurities totaled 7,709,895,034 shares compared with 7,704,133,868 shares in 2,368 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of December 31, 2018. The mid-January short interest represents 3.70 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.09 days for the prior reporting period.

Short interest in 941 securities on The Nasdaq Capital MarketSM totaled 860,151,709 shares at the end of the settlement date of January 15, 2019compared with 839,705,645 shares in 931 securities for the previous reporting period.
