At the end of the settlement date of July 31, 2019, short interest in 2,376 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 8,106,304,438 shares compared with 8,167,652,545 shares in 2,383 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of July 15, 2019. The end-of-July short interest represent 5.08 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.37 days for the prior reporting period.
