Nasdaq Announces End-Of-Month Open Short Interest Positions In Nasdaq Stocks As Of Settlement Date November 30, 2015

At the end of the settlement date of November 30, 2015, short interest in 2,314  Nasdaq Global MarketSM securities totaled 8,127,211,315 shares compared with 8,098,096,213 shares in 2,314 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of November 13, 2015. The end-of-November short interest represents 4.80 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.40 days for the prior reporting period.

Short interest in 742 securities on The Nasdaq Capital MarketSM totaled 766,867,896 shares at the end of the settlement date of November 30, 2015 compared with 786,468,678 shares in 739 securities for the previous reporting period. This represents 4.72 days average daily volume, compared with the previous reporting period’s figure of 4.80 .

In summary, short interest in all 3,056 Nasdaq® securities totaled 8,894,079,211 shares at the November 30, 2015 settlement date, compared with 3,053 issues and 8,884,564,891 shares at the end of the previous reporting period.
