NASDAQ PostData provides accurate, comprehensive trading information that allows broker/dealers to compare themselves to the competition and assists all market participants in deciding where to send order flow.
"In an increasingly competitive marketplace, NASDAQ saw the need to offer these new enhancements," said Adena Friedman, executive vice president of NASDAQ Data Products. "Market participants now enjoy the benefit of having a more comprehensive view of NASDAQ liquidity."
The enhancements provide subscribers to PostData access to daily share, trade, and dollar volume data for all NASDAQ Market Makers two weeks after the transactions occur (T+10 data). This enhancement adds to PostData's long-standing functionality of offering daily share, trade, and dollar volume information from select participating market participants one day after the transactions occur (T+1 data).
In addition to the full complement of T+1 data from participating market makers, subscribers can now view 35 rolling calendar days of historical trading data starting at T+10 of the following daily volume data from all Market Makers: Total Activity, Sell Volume, Buy Volume, Cross Volume and volume reported to NASDAQ's Automated Confirmation Transaction ServiceSM (ACTSM). ACT provides post-execution services, including price and volume reporting, comparison, and clearing of pre-negotiated trades completed in NASDAQ's systems-making PostData information the most accurate data available.
NASDAQ PostData also consists of the following trading data reports:
- Monthly Volume Summaries that rank the top 50 market participants by industry sector, security type, or total and block volume; and
- Daily Issue Data that provides a summary of the previous day's activity for all NASDAQ issues, including price, total shares outstanding, dividend data, and more.
