Bloomberg has this morning made available its final Q4 / FY 2018 league table reports. The tables represent market leaders across a broad range of deal types, including M&A, Equities, loans and bonds transactions over the last quarter.
Equities - Global
- FY 2018 credited Global Equity, Equity Linked & Rights volume decreased 11.37% to USD 660.4 Bln while deal count decreased 10.68% to 4,450 offerings year-on-year. Global Equity IPO volume increased 4.86% year-on-year to USD 208.0 Bln while the deal count decreased 13.46% to 1,453. Global Equity Linked volume decreased 0.45% year-on-year to USD 98.9 Bln over 434 deals.
- Morgan Stanley ranked as the top Global Equity, Equity Linked & Rights underwriter for the second year in a row with a market share of 9.50%. The bank underwrote 382 deals over the period. Goldman Sachs surpassed JP Morgan as second in ranking, moving JP Morgan down to third place.
Equities – EMEA
- FY 2018 credited EMEA Equity, Equity Linked & Rights - Risk volume decreased 38.17% to USD 144.8 Bln while deal count decreased 25.92% to 763 offerings year-on-year. EMEA Equity IPO volume decreased 16.23% year-on-year to USD 42.3 Bln while the deal count decreased 12.62% to 180. EMEA Equity Linked - Risk volume decreased 46.48% year-on-year to USD 12.6 Bln over 41 deals.
- JP Morgan ranked as the top EMEA Equity, Equity Linked & Rights - Risk underwriter for FY 2018 with 10.05% market share. The bank underwrote 66 deals over the period. Goldman Sachs and Citi ranked second and third with 8.13% and 6.88% market share, respectively.
