More German Companies Added To Once Per Day Xetra Trading.
Date 19/01/1999
On January 14, Deutsche Boerse AG announced that it would limit electronic trade of low liquidity stocks to a single daily auction in order to increase their price transparency and stability. Around 540 less active issues would be added to a list of over 1,100 existing stocks traded only once a day on the Xetra electronic trading system Xetra. These stocks will continue to be traded all day in open-outcry. In October 1998, Deutsche Boerse introduced three auctions a day for all stock to give private investors a chance to take advantage of electronic trading.
