In September:
- The average daily turnover was EUR 116.3 (179.9) million, and a decrease of 35.4 percent. The total turnover was EUR 2,559.2 (4,136.8) million, a decrease of 38.1 percent.
- The average number of trades per day was 21,858 (29,286), a decrease of 25.4 percent. The total number of trades was 480,886 (673,573) a decrease of 28.6 percent.
- The trading participant with the highest turnover was Handelsbanken with a turnover of EUR 989.5 (1,371.9) million.
- The most traded instrument was XACT BEAR, with a turnover of EUR 210.7 (219.7) million, a decrease of 4.1 percent.
Olof Neiglick, CEO of Burgundy comments about the month:
“The total market turnover for all marketplaces trading Swedish equities decreased by 28.3* percent in September, compared with August. The total market turnover for all marketplaces trading Nordic equities decreased by 23.5* percent in September, compared with August. The trading on Burgundy in both Swedish and Nordic equities also decreased significantly in September.*
There has been a considerable increase in Nordic ETF trading during August and September. Burgundy’s market share in XACT ETF instruments is very strong with an average market share of 25 percent and in some instruments Burgundy has a market share of more than 30 percent.”
