Herbie Skeete, Managing Director of Mondo Visione and co-founder of the Index said:
"February was a month of contrasts for listed exchanges as half of the exchanges were in positive territory. At end February, the London Stock Exchange Group merger with Deutsche Boerse Group was thrown into doubt when the European Commission raised concerns over the LSEG's ownership of MTS. Both exchanges ended the month towards the back of the grid with the LSEG down by 4 per cent and DBAG down by 6.7 per cent. Is the merger dead? Both exchanges profess that they 'continue to work hard' on the merger, but as one wag put it 'Stick a fork in it, this one's done' "
