Minneapolis Grain Exchange Announces 2000-01 Board Of Directors

Following the annual election on October 5, 2000, the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGE) announced the 2000-01 board of directors.

The board is comprised of 14 member directors and four nonmember directors. Seven of 14 directorships were up for election this year, and nonmember directors will be appointed in November. Directors serve two-year terms.

Elected by membership vote to the board were: Steve N. Lennartson, as a Floor Trader representative; Scott A. Cordes, Cenex Harvest States Cooperatives, as a Futures Commission Merchants representative; Michael H. Bergland, Cenex Harvest States Cooperatives and Raymond F. Lottie, General Mills Operations, Inc., as Producers, Consumers, Processors, Distributors and Merchandisers representatives; and Cliff W. Larson, Jr., The Cliff Larson Co.; John C. Miller, Miller Milling Company; and Michael J. Mullin, Mullin & Mullin Grain Company, as At Large representatives. Miller will begin the second year of his two-year term as chairperson of the board with this re-election.

Officers will be elected by the board of directors at the October 16 meeting.

Kent R. Horsager is serving in his first year as president and chief executive officer of the MGE.
