Millennium Exchange Release 9.1 Oslo Børs – Go-Live Postponement

Oslo Børs regrets to inform that the previously announced go-live of Millennium 9.1 Oslo Børs (January 28 2017) will be postponed to allow for additional testing. The announced dress rehearsal of December 3rd will be cancelled, and the first dress rehearsal will be moved to after Christmas change freeze. New dates for dress rehearsals and go-live will be announced in December.

In order to avoid any doubt, please note that Millennium 9.1 is a mandatory upgrade.

High level overview of the changes made in Millennium 9.1 Oslo Børs:

Services to be decommissioned

  • Some fixed income related reference data
  • FIX FAST for cash equities
  • Publication of Indicative deposit rates (IDR) and average indicative deposit rate (AIDR). The publication of IDR / AIDR will cease as of 2 January 2017.

Introduction of new functionality

  • Dark to lit sweep order types
  • North Sea Dark Pool improvements
  • Hidden and iceberg order enhancements
  • Improved Self Execution Prevention logic
  • Issuer Product Enhancements
  • Introduction of Request for Quote (fixed income) 

Further to the decommission of FIX/FAST feed for equities

The following gateways will be decommissioned as of go-live of the Milennium Release 9.1 Oslo Børs:

  • OBE20 - Level 2 Equity Snapshot Service - FIX FAST (MBP 20)
  • OBW20 - Level 2 Warrant Snapshot Service - FIX FAST (MBP 20)
  • OBP20 - Level 2 ETP Snapshot Service - FIX FAST (MBP 20)

Going forward equities will only be available through the Millennium MITCH feed, whereas fixed income, indices and news will remain on FIX/FAST.
