The MidAmerica Commodity Exchange, a wholly-owned affiliate of the Chicago Board of Trade, announced June 2001 trading volume of 72,884 contracts, up 44.3% from May 2001.

• Total exchange month-end open interest: 13,152
• MidAm average daily volume: 3,471
• Wheat futures were up 40.3% from May 2001 at 6,471 contracts
• Corn futures were up 129.5% from May 2001 at 14,661 contracts
• Soybean futures were up 47.1% from May 2001 at 35,200 contracts
• Agricultural futures and options complex trade was 60,022 for June 2001, up 56.1% from May 2001
• Financial futures and options complex trade was 7,205 for June 2001
• Currency futures complex trade was up 39.7% from June 2001 at 5,002 contracts
• Metals futures and options complex trade was 655 for June 2001
