MidAm's January Volume At 24,569 Contracts

The MidAmerica Commodity Exchange, a wholly-owned affiliate of the Chicago Board of Trade, announced today trading volume of 24,569 contracts for January 2002.

Total exchange month-end open interest was 12,834
MidAm average daily volume: 1,170
Agricultural futures and options complex trade was up 10.3% from December 2001 at 24,485 contracts
Wheat futures were up 534.8% from December 2001 and up 45.6% from January 2001 at 8,306
