MIAX Exchange Group - Options Markets - Listing Of Additional Weekly Expirations For Qualified Securities

The MIAX Options Exchanges have filed with the SEC to amend the Short Term Option Series Program as it pertains to Qualifying Securities. Specifically, the Short Term Option Series Program will be amended to include: (1) adding up to two Tuesday and Thursday expirations for options on ETF Shares that meet the existing "Qualifying Securities" criteria, and (2) adding up to two Monday and Wednesday expirations for options on ETF Shares that meet a new, lower-threshold set of criteria.

ETFs meeting the existing criteria of an Assets under Management ("AUM") greater than $50 billion, monthly options volume greater than 10 million contracts, a position limit of at least 250,000 contracts, and participation in the Penny Interval Program, are rebranded as "Tier 1 Qualifying Securities" and become eligible for Tuesday/Thursday weeklies in addition to their current Monday/Wednesday expirations.  In addtion, a new "Tier 2 Qualifying Securities" tier is created for ETFs with AUM greater than $25 billion and monthly options volume greater than 5 million contracts (retaining the 250,000-contract position limit and Penny Interval Program participation requirements), which will be eligible for up to two Monday and Wednesday expirations. The new series follow the existing Short Term Option Series Program process of same strike-price intervals, P.M.-settled, and skips any week where the expiration would coincide with a standard, monthly, or quarterly expiration. A Qualifying Security expiration would not be listed on a day when there will be an earnings announcement that takes place after market close.

On August 18, 2026, the MIAX Options Exchanges will begin listing Qualifying Securities with the following expiration dates:
