Miami International Holdings, Inc. (MIAX) has been added to the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index, effective at the close of trading on Thursday, August 21, following MIAX’s recent milestone of going public, with shares debuting on the New York Stock Exchange on August 14. It marks the first public listing of a major U.S. financial exchange in 15 years, underscoring a significant moment in the exchange industry.
The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index, launched in 2000 through a collaboration between FTSE Group and Mondo Visione, is the first global index dedicated to listed exchanges and trading venues. As a key benchmark, it provides valuable insights into the performance and health of the global exchange sector.
With the addition of MIAX, the index now tracks 33 constituents, further strengthening its position as a comprehensive indicator of activity in the exchange and trading platform industry.
