MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), recorded its 16th-highest daily electronic volume of alltime on Monday, finishing the day with 14,361 electronic contracts traded. This marks the fifth top 25 record day this year for the Exchange, which set a new monthly electronic volume record back in February.
Total volume from Monday’s activity came in at 15,731, bringing April’s volume to 67,409 as the Exchange approaches the month’s halfway point. Total calendar year volume for 2015 now stands at 588,366.
Open interest following Monday’s activity was 72,088.
