MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), set a pair of top five daily volume records on Tuesday, finishing the day with a total volume of 21,491 and an electronic volume of 19,939.
The total volume number is the fifth-highest ever for MGEX, marking the ninth time in Exchange history that total volume has surpassed 20,000 on a single day. Electronic volume had its second-straight top 20 day on Tuesday, finishing 4th-best on the record charts after reaching the No. 16 spot on Monday.
Total volume for November now stands at 88,284, while electronic volume has reached 80,199. Open interest following Tuesday’s activity was 78,943.
