MGEX (Minneapolis Grain Exchange or Exchange) is pleased to announce the promotion of Georgette McDonald to the position of Director, Business Services and Product Development where she will be an integral part of cross functionality at MGEX. In this capacity, Georgette will build a bridge between business units including the Clearing House, Marketing and Business Development departments. Her responsibilities include business services management and development of new opportunities related to products.
Product development will include aligning product strategy with the MGEX mission. She will work throughout the organization to integrate the product strategy with project development. Business services will include interaction with the Clearing and IT departments to implement systems enhancements to support new projects and expansion of MGEX business.
“Georgette’s expertise in the area of product development has been a huge asset to the organization,” said James D. Facente, Director of Operations, Clearing and IT. “She will have no problem transitioning to her new role and exceeding our expectations as she has since she started at MGEX.”
Before coming to the Exchange, Georgette worked in both Marketing and Product Development roles for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, West Thomson, GMAC and U.S. Bancorp. Her most recent role was Finance Director for the Wealth Management division of U.S. Bancorp.
Georgette graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics and earned her MBA in Finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
