MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), recorded a pair of top 20 daily volume records on Thursday, including the 11th-best total daily volume in its history, finishing the day at 19,274 contracts traded.
The Exchange has posted total volume greater than 10,000 in six of the past eight days. This marks the first time in 2016 that total volume has surpassed 17,000 on consecutive days. Electronic volume posted top 25 volume for the second-straight day on Thursday, reaching 17th-best on the all-time list with 16,925 contracts traded.
Total volume during April now stands at 151,782 with six trade dates remaining. Open interest following Thursday’s activity was 68,164.
