MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), reached a new daily record for Apple Juice Concentrate (AJC) volume during yesterday’s trading session.
Total volume was reported at 154 contracts traded. Of that, futures contracts accounted for 14 contracts traded while options contracts accounted for 140 contracts traded.
“Having record-breaking volume days in February, March, and now April shows how rapidly this contract is growing. This consistent growth in both the futures and options markets reflects a successful risk management tool,” said Mark G. Bagan, President & CEO, MGEX.
