On 6 September 2022, BaFin imposed administrative fines totalling 200,000 euros on MFS MERIDIAN FUNDS.
The sanction related to breaches of section 33 paragraph 1 sentence 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (Wertpapierhandelsgesetz – WpHG). MFS MERIDIAN FUNDS failed to submit voting rights notifications within the prescribed period.
The company may lodge an appeal against the administrative fine order.
