Mercuryo, a leading global payments infrastructure platform, has been recognised by Sifted, a startup news service backed by the Financial Times, as being among the fastest-growing startups in Europe.
In a Europe-wide ranking, which surveys tech startups that have demonstrated the strongest revenue growth over the last three financial years, Mercuryo stands out as the sole representative from the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.
The Sifted report recognises the underlying strength of Mercuryo’s business model and proven track record in delivering state-of-the-art payments, including on and off-ramps that bridge the gap between traditional finance and the alternative decentralised finance (DeFi) space.
“This recognition from Sifted underscores our dedication and success in delivering payments in the Web3 space,” said Petr Kozyakov, Co-Founder and CEO at Mercuryo. “We have an incessant focus on ensuring safety in payments and delivering a seamless user experience (UX) and this has been key to achieving the high growth highlighted by the Sifted research.”
The Sifted report heaps praise upon startups recognised by its research for achieving impressive growth in an environment where many businesses have struggled or even failed to survive. “Our list reflects the founders who not only have demonstrated great resilience but have found a way to thrive,” stated the Sifted report.
Mercuryo has achieved a position of 48 on the inaugural Sifted 50: Southern Europe Leaderboard, ranking the 50 fastest-growing startups across a region that includes Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus.
The list includes high-growth startups across sectors as diverse as pet insurance and hair loss. Combined, the 50 startups have raised €1.03bn in funding and generated revenues of €1.02bn over the past three financial years, while employing nearly 4,800 people.
