Mercado a Término de Buenos Aires (MATba) closed 2011 with a total volume of 20.535.456 tons, which constitutes a new record in the last 10 years and ratifies MATba as the leading Exchange in agricultural commodities in Latin America.
The increment in volume was both in Futures and Options, which grew over 8% in 2011.
The Open Interest was 3.312.500 tons the last day of the year.
MATba, Argentina’s Futures and Options Exchange, was founded in 1907. Its main contracts are Soybean, Wheat and Corn.
