IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced today that a memorial service for C. Harry Falk will be held Thursday, February 15, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. ET at Trinity Church, located at Broadway and Wall Street, New York City. Mr. Falk, NYBOT President and CEO, passed away January 3.
The NYBOT Cotton No. 2 (CT) and Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice (OJ) contracts will end open outcry trading on February 15 at 1:00 p.m. ET. NYBOT’s floor-traded financial products and electronically-traded products will keep normal trading hours.
Trinity Church will carry the service live over their website (www.trinitywallstreet.org/falk), and the service will also be available for viewing for a month after the event in the archive section. In lieu of flowers, the Falk family is requesting donations be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (www.ccfa.org) or NYBOT Futures and Options for Kids (http://futuresandoptionsforkids.org).
NYBOT has also established the C. Harry Falk Memorial Scholarship at the Baruch College Zicklin School of Business.
